About the role
ProVital Transit provides non-emergency medical transportation across the Charlotte region. Our drivers take neighbours to dialysis, treatment, therapy and the appointments that keep them well — and bring them home again.
This is scheduled work, not on-demand. You get your trips in advance, you know who you are collecting and what they need, and you are given the training to do it properly. Most of our riders are regulars, and you will get to know them.
No experience in medical transport is required. We train you on passenger assistance and wheelchair securement. What we cannot train is patience and reliability, so bring those.
What you would do
- Collect and return riders safely and on time, following the trips on your run sheet
- Assist riders in and out of the vehicle where appropriate, and secure mobility devices correctly
- Keep dispatch updated through the driver app as each trip progresses
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and keep the vehicle clean and presentable
- Treat every rider, family member and facility with courtesy and discretion
What we need from you
- A valid driver’s licence and a clean motor vehicle record
- Willingness to complete a background check and drug screen
- Willingness to complete our training before carrying a passenger
- Comfortable using a mobile app throughout the shift
- Availability for early morning starts, and some weekends scheduled in advance

Hours
Shifts can start as early as 5:00 AM. Weekends are scheduled in advance, not sprung on you.
