A ride is the reason someone makes it to treatment
Transportation is one of the most common reasons people miss medical care. Not cost, not scheduling, not willingness. A ride. When someone on dialysis misses a session because nobody could get them there, the consequences are real and they are quick.
That is the job. You are not delivering parcels, and you are not a taxi. You are the reason a neighbour keeps their appointment, gets home from hospital, and stays in their own house a bit longer. Most days someone will tell you so.
No experience in medical transport?
That is fine. Plenty of good drivers come from delivery, rideshare, school transport or caregiving. We train you on passenger assistance and wheelchair securement. What we cannot train is patience, so bring that.
What the job actually looks like
No mystery, no sales pitch. This is the shape of a normal day.
You get your run sheet
Your trips for the day, with pickup times, addresses, and what each rider needs. No guessing, no scrambling.
You drive, and you help
A steady arm to the vehicle. A wheelchair secured properly. A few extra minutes for someone having a slow morning.
You keep people in the loop
A quick update when you arrive or when traffic bites. Families worry, and a message settles it.
You close out the trip
Mark it complete on your phone and move on. The office sees it straight away.
The job is people, not just driving
Patience, genuinely
Our riders are often having a hard day. Someone who can wait without sighing is worth more here than someone who is quick.
You turn up
A missed ride can mean a missed dialysis session. Being where you said you would be is most of this job.
You treat people like people
Riders are named, not numbered. Dignity is not a policy here, it is the whole point.
A clean record
A valid license, a background check and a drug screen. We will talk you through exactly what is needed.

Take riders across Concord and Cabarrus County to dialysis, treatment and therapy. Scheduled shifts, local routes, training provided.
